Community-focused care
About us
At Ferriston Vets, we believe that great veterinary care starts with trust, compassion, and strong relationships. Behind our practice is a husband-and-wife team who share not only a life together, but also a deep commitment to providing kind, honest, and high-quality veterinary care.
We are Dr Corina Prisada and Dr Ioan (John) Prisada, the founders of Ferriston Vets.
Ferriston Vets was created from a shared vision: to build an independent practice where pets come first, clients feel genuinely supported, and care is always guided by compassion, integrity, and trust. After years of working in veterinary practice, we wanted to create something that truly reflected our values — a clinic with a personal approach, strong clinical standards, and a real connection to the local community.
Evidence-based medicine, clear options, and comfort-first handling.
Kindness, honesty, and long-term relationships with pets and owners.
Modern consult rooms, diagnostics, and safe anaesthesia monitoring.

Corina is an experienced veterinary surgeon with a strong background in small animal practice. She has worked in the profession since 2013 and in the UK since 2018, building broad clinical experience and strong links within the local community, including two years at a practice in Banbury.
Corina has developed particular experience in emergency and urgent care, working in fast-paced clinical environments where calm decision-making, strong clinical judgement, and clear communication are essential. This background has shaped her thoughtful, thorough, and reassuring approach to patient care, particularly in more stressful or challenging situations.
She combines high clinical standards with a kind and compassionate manner, always aiming to make pets feel safe and owners feel informed, listened to, and supported at every step. At Ferriston Vets, Corina plays a central role in shaping the clinical heart of the practice and ensuring that patient care remains personal, ethical, and tailored to the individual needs of every pet.

Ioan (John) is an experienced veterinary surgeon who has worked in the profession since 2013 and in the UK since 2018, building both clinical experience and a strong understanding of the local veterinary landscape.
Alongside his veterinary background, Ioan has a particular interest in the management and development of veterinary practice. He is especially passionate about the operational side of building a trusted, well-run clinic — from structure and standards to client experience, compliance, and long-term sustainability. His strengths lie in practice management, legislation, and governance, helping to ensure that Ferriston Vets is built on solid foundations and guided by clear professional principles.
Ioan believes that good veterinary care is not only about clinical knowledge, but also about creating a practice that people can rely on — one that is honest, organised, fair, and genuinely connected to the community it serves. Having grown up in a small community, he understands deeply what it means for people to rely on one another, support one another, and build lasting connections. That sense of community continues to shape the way he approaches both veterinary care and practice leadership.
